Virtual Therapy with Dr. Adia
Virtual therapy to help you reconnect with your worth, release burnout, and thrive with ease.
On paper, you’re doing everything “right.”
You’ve built a career, handled responsibilities, and supported everyone around you.
But beneath the surface, you feel exhausted, anxious, or disconnected from your own needs.
You’ve been holding it together for so long that breaking down doesn’t feel like an option.
And still, a quiet voice inside is asking:
Isn’t there more to life than holding it all together?
Therapy That Honors Your Strength—And Your Humanity
I help high-achieving Black women like you create space to be fully human.
You don’t have to be “strong” all the time. You don’t have to earn rest or joy.
You are worthy—because you exist.
Through therapy with me, you’ll:
Understand the impact of past experiences on present patterns
Quiet the inner critic and embrace your true self
Heal emotional wounds that drive perfectionism and people-pleasing
Reconnect with your joy, needs, and purpose
My approach
I’m Dr. Adia Gooden, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience.
I blend deep clinical expertise with a warm, affirming, culturally-grounded approach.
You won’t just learn how to cope—you’ll build the inner safety, self-compassion, and emotional clarity to embrace your worth and connect to your power from the inside out.
You don’t need to be fixed. You need space to be fully seen, supported, and restored.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cost of sessions?
Individual sessions are $200.
Do you take insurance?
I do not take insurance but I do take HSA and FSA cards and I provide out of network billing. This means you'll pay upfront for sessions and then I'll submit your bill to your insurance and they will mail you a reimbursement check based on your out-of-network coverage for therapy.
Do you offer sessions in person or virtually?
All sessions will take place virtually via a HIPPA compliant version of Zoom.
Can you work with clients anywhere in the world?
I am PsyPact approved to work with clients who reside in most states throughout the Unites States. You can view this map to determine if you live in one of the states where I am licensed to see clients.
Do you work with children and adolescents?
No. I only work with adults age 18 and older.
How do I get started working with you?
The first step is to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call. On the call we will discuss your goals for therapy, logistics, and whether it’s the right fit for us to work together.
