In this episode, I welcome Ekene Onu, a Feminine Leadership Coach and Founder of Iconic Womanhood. Ekene has built a community of intentional women who live soulful and purposeful lives and she’s here to share her wisdom with you all.

Listen in to hear Ekene talk about what Iconic Womanhood means to her, how you can begin to step into the power of womanhood and femininity, and how to overcome the challenges you might face in that pursuit.

“We have a desire for significance in our bodies, a desire for significance in our souls that is God-given because as we become ourselves… there is such a sense of ‘yes’ and ‘I am here’ and ‘I am doing what I am called to do’ that feeds you and is significant,” Ekene says, “But when you don’t have that divine significance, you start looking for false significance which is why we are so caught up in consumerism.”

Ekene’s unconditional self-worth comes from owning the fact that she’s made choices that don’t align with her divinity. As terrifying and painful as it was to blossom into her divine self, it’s not nearly as painful as it was to stay curled up in a place that kept her unworthy.

“There is a cost to living an inauthentic life.”

- Ekene Onu

Women crave stability and security. What we often don’t realize is that there’s stability and security even in times of immense change and growth. As you become more of yourself, more aware of your strengths and weaknesses, as you grow and change, you’re able to set boundaries and choose to pursue the life that you desire to live.

Stepping into your power is not about being selfish, it’s about reclaiming the Self. In your reclamation, there may be loss, there may be grief, there may be pain… but there will be a newfound sense of power, strength, alignment, and divine worthiness.

We can either be a victim of our circumstances or we can be empowered to take responsibility for our creative power. We can recognize that we have created these circumstances, we have the power and responsibility to change them, and we can reap the rewards of stepping into that power.

It’s never too late to step into your power and choose to live life differently. Don’t spend 10 more years beating yourself up for living a life that’s not true to you. Accept the decisions your past self made from a pained place and move forward. Engage in your values each day and practice letting love in.

How to Begin Stepping Into Your Power, Femininity, and Iconic Womanhood:

  • Commit to taking yourself to that next level, whatever that may be for you. It could be the next level of your business, your revenue, your health, your relationship, your workout routine, etc… because you deserve an upgrade!

  • If someone isn’t seeing and encouraging your greatness or if you’re feeling like you have to shrink yourself just to be with someone, reconsider that relationship.

  • Tune into who you are and connect to your unconditional self-worth. Find the self-worth practices that empower you and keep those practices going!
